Cloud Nothings and Jessica Lea Mayfield Headline NEOCycle Music Fest Line-Up
Cleveland-born indie rock group Cloud Nothings will headline the NEOCycle Music Fest presented by Cleveland Music City on Saturday, September 27, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced Monday. Cloud Nothings will be joined by Jessica Lea Mayfield and at least 11 other acts across the two-stage music festival at Edgewater Park. The NEOCycle Music Fest is part of NEOCycle presented by Ohio Savings Bank, Cleveland’s newest cycling event and the Midwest’s first and only urban cycling festival.
The NEOCycle Music Fest will help anchor The Hub at Edgewater Park, the bicycle and outdoor lifestyle festival along the Lake Erie waterfront that will connect the five unique races and rides of NEOCycle. The Hub at Edgewater Park is free to the public and will feature a build-out from Ray’s Indoor Mountain Bike Park; BMX shows; bike polo demo area; Fat Head’s Brewery, New Belgium Brewing and Great Lakes Brewing Company beer garden; and Cleveland’s top food trucks.
“We are excited to have these outstanding acts perform at the inaugural NEOCycle Music Fest at The Hub at Edgewater Park,” said David Gilbert, President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. “The Music Fest is just one aspect of an entire weekend of unique NEOCycle events and activities that will showcase one of Cleveland’s greatest assets in Edgewater Park to both visitors and locals and continue to propel the cycling movement forward in Greater Cleveland. The event will also pump significant spending into the local economy as cyclists, music lovers and their friends and families travel to Cleveland for NEOCycle’s blend of cycling races and rides, live music and outdoor activities.”
Joining Cloud Nothings and Jessica Lea Mayfield on the GE Lighting Main Stage and the Beer Garden Acoustic Stage will be Ohio Sky; Captain Kidd; Cities & Coasts; Ottawa; Muamin Collective & Neil Chastain Trio; Silent Lions; Village Bicycle; JP & the Chatfield Boys; and the Luckey Ones. Playing their first U.S. gig after a nine-stop tour through Europe, Cloud Nothings will bring their lo-fi rock and pop back to their roots on the shores of Lake Erie. Founded by Dylan Baldi in 2009, Cloud Nothings is fresh off the April release of their third studio album, Here and Nowhere Else, which has received outstanding reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin and Pitchfork.
The Midwest’s first urban cycling festival, NEOCycle combines five unique races and rides with live music at an action-filled festival at The Hub at Edgewater Park on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie. NEOCycle rides and races include the NEOCycle Night Ride presented by Cuyahoga Community College; Forest City Fundo; Edgewater Cyclocross; Wade Oval Criterium presented by Peter & Co. Jewelers and Tissot; and Velodrome. The Hub at Edgewater Park will feature two stages of live music, cycling and outdoor lifestyle vendors, beer garden and Cleveland’s famous food trucks.
