Matt Sajna is an Event Coordinator with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission. Matt assists with the planning and execution of each event hosted by the Sports Commission, and brings a strong passion for Cleveland and the sporting industry.
Matt has served in his current role since September 2013. He began his career at the Sports Commission in January 2012 as an Event Management Intern. During this time, he had the opportunity to assist with several large events including the ACHA National Championship, NCAA DI Bowling National Championship, and MAC Fan Fest. In May 2012, Matt transitioned into a new role as Sports & Operations Coordinator for the 2013 National Senior Games, where he was involved in the planning and execution of all operations aspects of the event. Matt oversaw the logistics for the National Senior Games events at the Convention Center and for the Races that took place throughout the City.
Matt is a proud 2011 graduate of Miami University, where he was a member of the RedHawk Baseball program. He loves the game of baseball, and spent two seasons with the Akron Aeros, Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, serving as the bullpen catcher.
Born and raised on Cleveland’s West Side, Matt now resides in Lakewood. He enjoys spending his free time outdoors, cooking, spending time with his family and friends, watching baseball, golfing, listening to music and eating at the all of great restaurants around Cleveland.
