Why Cleveland
Cleveland has a unifying vision for its downtown. By 2016, the recently completed Cleveland Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovation will connect to a 600-room Hilton Cleveland Downtown hotel. A planned $47-million pedestrian and bicycle bridge will unite an already pedestrian-friendly downtown to the lakefront and venues like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The $40-million renovation of Public Square will be the central hub that connects it all. There are more than 12,000 residents living downtown – the most in over six decades – with an expected growth to 20,000 within the next six years. By 2018, Downtown Cleveland will offer more than 5,000 hotel rooms within a 15-minute walk of Quicken Loans Arena and the Cleveland Convention Center. With so many downtown, the city comes alive at night with award-winning restaurants, clubs and nightlife.
