Nick VanDemark joined the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission staff in August of 2012. A resident of Greater Cleveland for the past two and a half years, Nick is excited to enhance the image, economy and well-being of the community he now calls home through various communications efforts.
Nick joined the GCSC team after spending the previous three years of his career working in collegiate athletics - first at Morehead State University and most recently at The University of Akron - where he managed the communications efforts of several teams and programs.
Nick began his career in sports in the athletic department at Miami University, where he earned a marketing degree from the Farmer School of Business in 2009. Nick has a master’s in sports administration from The University of Akron.
A native of Defiance, Ohio, Nick enjoys watching and playing sports, especially golf and basketball. He lives in Ohio City.
